The title of the show is a phrase born out of Yeng’s own idea. “It was August of last year around the time of my solo concert at the Aliw Theater, when I thought of the title and immediately, the concept of a show came to me,” Yeng said. “I thought ‘wouldn’t it be nice to come up with a show with singles in mind instead of the usual Valentines show for couples?“ she added.

Hence the catchy title and the burst of creative energy from Yeng who, since her 2011′s solo concert, is growing to be more hands on when it comes to her career. “I’m contributing to the whole look of the show, from the concert poster design, as well as the songs that I’ll do and the choice of musicians I want to play with” enthuses Yeng Constantino, who is lately bursting with ideas and is hard at work in preparation for the show.
For sure, come Valentines, we’ll be inundated by advertisements regarding dinner dates and other specials with “the couple” in mind. We doubt that you’ll see any other hearts-day event that pertains to “singles” except this one from Yeng, and there lies the uniqueness of her show. Not only does the Yeng have the interest of the “single community” at heart, but who better to speak for “all the lonely people” than she who is in the same boat? She has a more positive view about it though when she tells, “I think it’s normal to wish for someone special to come along, but if it’s not’s the right time, we shouldn’t force it. Let’s enjoy the single-blessedness of our situation.”

Yeng Constantino will have the whole night of February 3 to convince everybody at the Music Museum why it’s not so bad to be single on Valentines day. In fact she will convince you that its “Ok Lang Maging Single Sa Valentines” when she reveals that, “all the songs that I’m singing will be a case to prove why it’s good to be single.” That and a couple of surprise guests Jovit Baldivino and Paolo Valenciano and Yeng’s special treat for everyone that comes in the form of new, original songs that she will be debuting on the upcoming show.
As an idea, “Ok Lang Maging Single Sa Valentines” is a nugget of folksy wisdom from Yeng who expresses that being “single is just a status…in truth it’s a season in our life that needs to be celebrated.” And celebrate it she will when show date comes.

ask ko lang po kay ate yeng, if ano mga skin regimen to keep her glowing and makinis kase super simply lang ng suot niya minsan pero super ganda pa rin tignan and at the same time very fashionable. :)
